China has conducted a successful test of the Maglev Train (Magnetic Technology), which is faster than airplanes. This train is announced in the province of Hubei. This train could accelerate to a speed of 404 miles per hour, which is about 650 kilometers per hour, in just 7 seconds. This train is so quick that it surpasses many commercial planes.
Donghu Laboratory engineered this ultra fast train, which weighs 1.1 tons only. This train does not need traditional railway infrastructure but it works on special tracks that use magnetic levitation technology. This technology reduces the friction that is faced by a regular train where wheels come in contact with the track and reduce the speed. However, this train is based on magnetic technology that contributes in increasing speed and smoothness of the train.
This train could even reach the speed of 600 miles per hour, which is almost 965 kilometers per hour and this incredible speed make this train fastest train in the world. When the new project will be ready ,this will be launched for public transportation. This train will reduce time spent on travelling and will make commuting faster than airplanes on some routes.
Some of the countries that are using Maglev (Magnetic Levitation Technology) to provide comfort and speed to their public are China, South Korea, and Japan at present. This latest breakthrough by China is considered as a major step in redefining transportation. This step will also offer us a look in the future of ultra fast ground travel.
