Lahore Trackless Metro Train Trial begins in 2025 as the city unveils its first demonstration of the Super Autonomous Rail Rapid Transit System (SRT). The trackless metro is famous and worldwide known as the “Subway of the World”.
This trackless train will be unveiled in the next month. The main purpose of this train is to provide urban population with an effective way of transport across the city. This train will be launched on new technology known as Virtual Track Technology (VTT) which is digitally navigated and does not need old system of classic rail infrastructure.
This train is already serving in many countries of the world such as China, Malaysia and UAE. It was first introduced in China and had also achieved a Zhan Tianyou award from the China Civil Engineering Society.
The system of trackless train is introduced in Lahore to check whether local deployment of this project is possible. No official statement has been given for the proper deployment of this train and it is referred as test.
