Muhammad Amir IPL Vs PSL Choice Shocked Pakistani Cricket Fans

Muhammad Amir IPL vs PSL remarks shocked cricket fans across the country. Muhammad Amir has a straightforward personality. He always openly expresses his likes and dislikes. His recent statement on choosing the Indian Premier League (IPL) over the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has made him the center of debate and discussion.

Muhammad Amir is known as Pakistan’s fast bowler. Recently, Quetta Gladiators’s official YouTube channel invited him to podcast and asked a direct question: if again IPL and PSL schedules clashed and he was qualified to play in IPL, which side would he choose to play on?  He answered it without hesitation that if he would  get the opportunity, he would definitely play in the IPL.

This straightforward statement shocked Pakistani fans and sparked debates regarding PSL’s status as a response to IPL. Because PSL has now become a leading domestic brand and national cricketing pride.

While Amir is retired from international cricket, he ties his strength with various Twenty20 leagues worldwide. His fondness for IPL is never hidden, and now he wants to play in IPL, and he will soon be qualified to play in it as soon as he gets his British passport. And if the possibility of him playing in the IPL comes true, it will become a historic event, as it has been off-limits for Pakistani cricketers to play in the IPL since 2008.

However, Amir’s choice is the reflection of reality. Many foreign cricket players want to be part of the IPL, and many have already given up their domestic leagues to play in the IPL. BUT hearing it from a Pakistani cricketer surprised fans while he was part of PSL and active with Quetta Gladiators.

For now, his comment opens the door of discussion about whether our neighbor league will be open for him in the future or not, although he made it clear if he gets the opportunity, he will definitely play for IPL.
