Women Killed Two People in Road Accident in Karachi

Karachi City Court has remanded Natasha who was a women killed two people in road accident, she is been taken in one day physical custody. The accident, which occurred, claimed the lives of a father and daughter, 60-year-old Imran Arif and 26-year-old Aamna Arif, while injuring five others.

The court, led by a special magistrate, directed that the suspect be produced with a complete medical report at the next hearing on Wednesday. Police Investigation Officer Amir Altaf had initially requested a seven-day remand for further investigation.

Natasha, identified in the FIR, was apprehended by police and Rangers shortly after the incident. Her luxury vehicle, which struck multiple vehicles near the Pakistan Maritime Museum, was impounded. Natasha was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment of a head injury sustained during the crash.

A report submitted by the investigation officer noted that the suspect was unable to appear in court due to her mental condition. JPMC psychiatric specialist Dr. Chunni Laal admitted Natasha for treatment, stating she was not fit to attend the hearing.

Natasha’s lawyer, Amir Mansoob, emphasized that his client has been undergoing psychiatric treatment for five years and was not in a condition to be presented before the court. The lawyer’s request for bail was denied, as the court required the suspect’s appearance.

The suspect’s UK driving license, rather than a Pakistani one, was noted during the proceedings, raising questions about its validity in Pakistan.

CCTV footage shows the suspect’s vehicle colliding with the victims’ motorcycle, after which she fled the scene. The police are utilizing this footage to expedite their investigation.

The FIR, lodged by the deceased’s brother, Imtiaz Arif, charges Natasha with culpable homicide and negligence. The police are also examining her medical history, and blood and urine samples have been taken for further analysis.

The bodies of the victims are currently at the Edhi mortuary, with funeral prayers scheduled for after Asr prayers.
