25th Water-Energy-Food Ecosystem Nexus Conference to Held on July 22 in Islamabad

The Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS), in partnership with the Islamic World Academy of Sciences (IAS), is set to host the 25th Conference on the Water-Energy-Food Ecosystem Nexus for the Security of OIC Countries from July 22-24 in Islamabad.

This landmark event, organized with support from the Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, seeks to address the intertwined challenges of water, energy, food, and ecosystem security. These issues are vital for the sustainable development of OIC member nations, particularly as they face increasing pressures from climate change, population growth, and resource depletion.

The conference will convene leading scientists, policymakers, and experts from a wide array of fields, fostering an environment for collaboration and innovation. By focusing on the interconnectedness of these critical areas, the event aims to develop integrated solutions that promote resilience and sustainability.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions, share insights, and explore new technologies and strategies that can be implemented to enhance security across these sectors.

Prof. Dr. Kauser A. Malik and Prof. Dr. Adnan Badran will serve as Patrons in Chief, providing their esteemed leadership and expertise, while Prof. Dr. M. Aslam Baig and Prof. Dr. Tasawar Hayat will lead as chief organizers, ensuring a comprehensive and impactful program.
