Hollywood Filming in Pakistan to Spotlight Pakistani Culture

During a meeting with Hollywood team, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar emphasized that the ongoing Hollywood production depicting Pakistani culture richness would serve as a powerful tool to introduce our heritage to a global audience, while accentuating its positive facets.

Attaullah Tarar conveyed this sentiment during a meeting with members of the visiting Hollywood production team, who are currently in Pakistan to film an international project showcasing Pakistani culture.

The minister underscored the significance of this Hollywood venture for the Pakistani film industry, considering it a pivotal milestone.

Discussions during the meeting revolved around Pakistan’s rich cultural tapestry and its historical depth, with particular focus on the upcoming film project centered on Pakistani culture. Attaullah Tarar also briefed the Hollywood team on the strides made by Pakistan’s film industry.

Expressing gratitude to the Hollywood team for their decision to spotlight Pakistani culture, Attaullah Tarar remarked, “It is a testament to the richness of our cultural heritage.” He further emphasized Pakistan’s unique contributions to history, literature, music, and art, which are revered globally.

Attaullah Tarar expressed confidence that the film would offer a fresh perspective on Pakistan’s beauty and diversity to the world.

Highlighting governmental efforts to revitalize the cinema sector, Attaullah Tarar noted the industry’s privileged status in Pakistan, including tax incentives and concessions for joint ventures with foreign filmmakers. He stressed the importance of filming a significant portion of projects in Pakistan to boost economic activities and promote tourism and culture.

Attaullah Tarar also emphasized Pakistan’s use of screen tourism to convey its narrative to the world and pledged full support and cooperation to the Hollywood team.

In response, the Hollywood production team expressed appreciation for the warmth and assistance extended to them in Pakistan, acknowledging the country’s rich cultural heritage and its filmmaking potential. They affirmed their commitment to nurturing the local film industry.

The delegation includes James MC Milan, Andrew James Fiero, Luisa Iskin, Sadia Ashraf, Badr Ikram, and Mashal Saqib.
