According to the latest Henley Passport Index for 2024, the Pakistani Passport hits fourth lowest passport ranking in the world. This ranking is determined by assessing how many countries passport holders can visit without requiring a visa.
In the most recent rankings, Pakistan’s passport occupies the 100th position out of 199 passports and 227 travel destinations. Pakistan shares its spot with Yemen, a country affected by ongoing conflict. The rankings place Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan in the 101st, 102nd, and 103rd positions, respectively.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Singapore boasts the strongest passport, offering its holders the most visa-free access globally. Meanwhile, the United States has experienced a minor setback, falling from 7th place in January to 8th in the latest index.
France, Italy, Germany, Japan, and Spain are tied for second place in the world passport rankings, while Australia, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, and South Korea share the third position.
In comparison, Pakistan’s neighboring countries have the following ranks: China at 82, India at 94 and Iran at 59.
