Male Teachers:

  • Required to wear traditional shalwar kameez with a waistcoat or formal outfits such as pants, shirts, and ties.

Female Teachers:

Enforcement of the Dress Code

School principals are tasked with implementing and monitoring the Dress Policy for School Teachers across all government schools. Principals must ensure that every staff member complies with the policy.

In addition, teachers have been reminded to prioritize academic progress as the academic year comes to an end. Educators are expected to:

  • Conduct daily lectures.
  • Emphasize character-building activities.
  • Monitor and support students’ academic performance effectively.

Focus on Student Safety and Hygiene

The circular also highlights the following measures to ensure a safe and hygienic school environment:

  1. Recess Supervision:

Teachers are instructed to supervise students during recess to prevent accidents and ensure children remain on school premises.

2. Promoting Hygiene:

  • Educators must encourage students to wash their hands after restroom use.
  • Restrooms should always be stocked with soap, water, and towels.

These steps aim to instill healthy habits and maintain cleanliness throughout the school.

Resource Conservation and Safety Measures

Educators have been assigned additional responsibilities to promote resource conservation and maintain school safety, including:

  • Turning off lights, fans, heaters, and water pumps before leaving the school premises.
  • Ensuring all doors and windows are securely closed.

These measures not only conserve resources but also reduce safety risks.

A Comprehensive Approach to Discipline and Professionalism

The Dress Policy for School Teachers goes beyond attire by addressing key aspects of discipline, safety, and hygiene. The Education Department’s initiative reflects its commitment to fostering a structured and respectful educational environment.

The Sindh govt Transgender Education Policy marks a historic milestone in Pakistan’s education system. As the first of its kind, it aims to break barriers for transgender students by ensuring equal access to education in a supportive environment.

This progressive initiative promotes inclusivity, celebrates diversity, and aligns with global Sustainable Development Goals on education and gender equality, setting a new standard for acceptance and equity in educational institutions across Sindh.
