General Asim Munir Warns Against Efforts to Create Chaos in Pakistan

General Asim Munir Warns Against Efforts to Create Chaos in Pakistan, Vows Army’s Strong Response.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Asim Munir has pledged to thwart any efforts to spread anarchy across Pakistan, emphasizing that causing chaos is considered the “greatest sin in the sight of Almighty Allah.” Addressing the National Convention of Scholars, General Asim Munir stated that the Pakistan Army is dedicated to eradicating anarchy, asserting that those who disregard Shariah and the Constitution are not recognized as true Pakistanis.

“The Army is committed to maintaining peace and order,” said General Asim Munir. “We encourage peaceful protests, but will not tolerate any attempt to create disorder.”

He criticized criminal and smuggling networks for supporting terrorism and warned that anarchy is being propagated through social media. “Any attempt to spread chaos in Pakistan will be met with strong resistance from the Army,” he vowed.

General Asim Munir called on religious scholars to promote restraint and unity rather than extremism and to help restore moderation in society. He highlighted Pakistan’s long-standing hospitality towards Afghan refugees and urged Afghanistan to cease its opposition to Pakistan, warning against the dangers posed by groups like Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Praising the sacrifices of the Pakhtoon community and people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the fight against terrorism, General Asim Munir emphasized that Islam advocates for non-coercion and assured that no power can undermine Pakistan’s existence. He pointed to the current situations in Iraq, Syria, and Libya as stark reminders of the importance of state stability.

The COAS also expressed sorrow over the ongoing violence in Gaza, stating, “The plight of Palestinians teaches us the importance of safeguarding and strengthening Pakistan.”
