Ex-CJP Saqib Nisar vows to return Pakistan and face allegations next month, amid rising speculation regarding his accountability for alleged involvement in the May 9 crises. Saqib Nisar revealed that he plans to arrive in Pakistan on September 6 or 7, expressing readiness to confront the “propaganda” directed against him.
Addressing concerns about his association with the imprisoned former chief ISI Gen Faiz Hameed, Saqib Nisar characterized their relationship as respectful, emphasizing their cordial ties. He recounted a visit to Gen Faiz Hameed in 2022 during a family trip to Swat, where he was invited for lunch while Gen Faiz Hameed served as the Peshawar Corps Commander.
The above controversy started when Saqib Nisar travelled to London soon after Gen Faiz Arrest Last Week.
The ex-CJP further expressed frustration over what he termed a “media trial,” stating that if any allegations were raised against him, he should be formally charged so he can contest them. In a previous statement reported by The News, Nisar asserted that he had no connections to Gen Faiz Hameed, the PTI, or the incidents of May 9 Crises.
