The Pakistan Airports Authority has made the bold decision to transition all operations to an ERP System supported by Enterprise Resource Planning Software, moving towards a paperless environment. This shift is part of a broader effort to digitize government institutions for improved efficiency and sustainability.
The Director General of the Pakistan Airports Authority has urged the IT department to fast-track the implementation of the ERP system, ensuring it becomes fully operational in the near future. This decision aligns with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directives to modernize government operations by reducing reliance on paper.
Last month, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instructed the Ministry of Information Technology and other key departments to deploy the e-office system across all government offices. He emphasized that file work must shift entirely to the digital e-office system, stressing that delays will not be tolerated.
Once implemented, the ERP system will streamline internal processes, enhance data management, and create a more environmentally friendly workplace. The Pakistan Airports Authority is set to become a pioneer in adopting this paperless system, serving as a model for other government institutions.

The Prime Minister also mandated that all government officers complete their e-office training, and a progress report on its implementation is expected within the next two weeks.
