Under the guidance of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Ministry of Federal Education has formulated an urgent strategy to address the teachers shortage within the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE). The prime minister has instructed Secretary Federal Education Mohiuddin Wani to tackle this issue promptly, ensuring that no child remains out of school in Islamabad.
According to the emergency plan, the FDE is set to secure the services of 1,250 teachers, benefiting approximately 43,750 students across FDE institutions. This initiative aims for a teacher-student ratio of 1:35.
Of these, 383 teachers will be appointed through deputation, while 130 positions will be filled via the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). Additionally, the recruitment of an additional 500 teachers is scheduled to be finalized within the coming months.
