The highlight of GITEX Global 2024 is the North Star Startup Show, which features ten dynamic startups and incubators from Pakistan. These startups, supported by Pakistan’s federal Ministry of IT and Telecommunications, are gaining significant attention from investors across the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, and beyond.
They are part of Ignite’s startup program, participating at GITEX Global 2024 to showcase innovative solutions in diverse sectors such as healthcare, aerospace, energy, gaming, travel technology, and smart cities.
With a strong delegation of 80 Pakistani companies and startups participating in GITEX Global 2024, the event is seen as a major opportunity for Pakistan’s tech industry. This large-scale representation is expected to boost IT exports to the Middle East and the broader MENA region, while also opening doors for investment and partnerships with leading IT firms. Pakistan Named ‘Tech Destination of the Year’ at GITEX Global 2024
In a major milestone, Pakistan was recognized as the “Tech Destination of the Year” at GITEX Global 2024, which took place from October 14 to 18 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This recognition underscores Pakistan’s rising stature in the global tech ecosystem.
Under the Pakistan Pavilion, represented by the Pakistan Software Export Board, the country’s tech achievements were showcased to a global audience, reinforcing Pakistan’s position as a top emerging market for ICT innovation.
GITEX Global 2024 attracted participants from over 170 countries, featuring innovations in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, mobility, and sustainable technology. Pakistan’s tech companies, offering IT and IT-enabled services at operational costs significantly lower than those in North America, were well-positioned to capture the interest of global investors and potential partners.
