Federal Minister for Industries, Production, and National Food Security, Rana Tanveer Hussain, announced on Friday that Pakistan will send 1000 Agriculture Students to China for advanced education and specialized training in agriculture and food security. This significant initiative, finalized during a meeting with XU Hangtian, Counselor at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, aims to bolster Pakistan’s agricultural sector through enhanced education opportunities.

Under the scholarship program, selected students from across Pakistan, with a special emphasis on candidates from Balochistan, will receive comprehensive training in modern agriculture and research methodologies in China. The curriculum will focus on specialized skills essential for sustainable agriculture and ensuring food security, aligning with Pakistan’s national development goals.

The implementation of this program will be overseen by the Confucius Institute at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, reflecting the commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration in agricultural education.

Minister Rana Tanveer expressed confidence that this initiative will not only empower Pakistani graduates but also strengthen the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and China in the agricultural sector.
