Amidst the escalating heat wave, the provincial education minister of Punjab has unveiled the anticipated schedule for summer vacations 2024 in educational institutions across Punjab.
As per the latest information, schools and colleges are anticipated to adhere to a familiar timeline akin to the previous year, with summer breaks likely spanning two months.
The education minister has officially announced that the summer recess will commence on June 7, 2024, and conclude on August 19, 2024. A formal notification regarding this schedule is anticipated from the Education Department in the coming weeks.
Preceding this announcement, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued a cautionary alert indicating that temperatures could soar to a scorching 49.5 degrees Celsius in June. Additionally, August may witness temperatures peaking at 48.63 degrees Celsius.
