Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto inaugurated new facilities for Cancer Treatment in Karachi at Jinnah Hospital. The hospital now boasts the latest cancer-fighting technology, the CyberKnife S7-FIM, which delivers precise, painless, and non-invasive high-dose radiation to combat cancer. This advanced technology is a key part of the growing cancer treatment in Karachi.
The two departments launched include a 120-bed Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences and a 110-bed Department of Neurology and Stroke Unit, further enhancing the hospital’s comprehensive healthcare services.
Addressing the ceremony, Bilawal Bhutto emphasized that the CyberKnife is the world’s most expensive machine for cancer treatment, and the Sindh government is providing this cutting-edge technology to the people free of charge.
He highlighted the Sindh government’s dedication to improving cancer treatment in Karachi, pointing out that the National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease (NICVD), National Institute of Child Health (NICH), and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) are shining examples of good governance.
