Apple, facing a global sales slump, particularly in China, has unveiled a suite of New AI Features aimed at staying competitive with tech giants like Google and Microsoft. Known for its cautious approach to artificial intelligence, Apple is now embracing AI advancements to revitalize its offerings.

At its June developer’s conference, Apple introduced several New AI Features under its “Apple Intelligence” initiative, including an upgraded Siri with enhanced capabilities and the integration of ChatGPT for more intuitive user interactions.

Siri’s Transformation with GPT-4o Integration

One of the standout New AI Features is the overhaul of Siri, which now integrates with OpenAI’s GPT-4o model. This update transforms Siri into a more conversational assistant capable of handling complex queries, all while ensuring user data privacy through Apple’s “Private Cloud Compute” system.

Expanded Siri Capabilities

Siri’s new features include improved management of tasks across apps and enhanced automation. New AI Tools: Genmoji and Image Playground

Apple’s AI expansion includes innovative tools like “Genmoji,” which lets users create personalized emojis generated by AI. The “Image Playground” app enables users to generate custom images from prompts, with an API for developers to incorporate into their apps.
