In a groundbreaking initiative to empower women, Faisalabad Police Introduces All-Female Dolphin Squad to Combat Street Crimes. This pioneering squad marks a significant shift, with women now taking on roles traditionally handled by male officers.
The Female Dolphin Squad aims to enhance women’s safety nationwide by actively combating street crimes and maintaining public order. To prepare for these duties, the squad members received specialized training in handling 500cc heavy bikes and automatic weapons, ensuring they are fully equipped for the task.
Working alongside their male counterparts, the all-female squad, comprising 500 women commandos, will set up roadblocks and conduct snap checks across Faisalabad. The Chief Police Officer (CPO) of Faisalabad stated that the female Dolphin Squad would initially be deployed in public areas with high female foot traffic, such as universities and markets. This deployment aims to create a more comfortable environment for women to address any issues directly with the female officers.
