Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir Hosts Ceremony to Celebrate Arshad Nadeem Olympic Success at the Army Auditorium General Headquarters (GHQ), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Arshad Nadeem made history at the Paris 2024 Olympics by launching a colossal 92.97-meter javelin throw, securing Pakistan’s first-ever individual gold medal in the Olympics and the nation’s first gold in any discipline in 40 years. His remarkable feat garnered widespread acclaim across the country.

The ceremony, held on August 16, 2024, saw the presence of COAS General Syed Asim Munir, Arshad Nadeem’s family, and a host of legendary sports figures, including members of the 1984 Olympic and National Hockey Teams, the National Cricket Team, and other notable athletes from various sports disciplines.

In his address, General Syed Asim Munir lauded Arshad Nadeem’s exceptional achievement, recognizing it as a source of national pride. He emphasized the importance of hard work, determination, and passion in achieving excellence, highlighting Arshad Nadeem’s inspirational journey from humble beginnings to Olympic glory.
