In a recent press conference, ISPR DG Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif accused a “massive, illegal political mafia” of undermining Pakistan’s Azm-i-Istehkam campaign to serve its interests. The campaign, described as a comprehensive counter-terrorism effort, faces organized propaganda aiming to misrepresent it as a mere military operation.

In response to TTP-related queries, he dismissed the extremist rhetoric, reinforcing the campaign’s necessity for stability and security.
The DG ISPR clarified the army’s actions during the Bannu rally, citing adherence to standard procedures amid chaos. He stressed the role of provincial governments in maintaining order.
