International Sailing Competition Brazil: Pakistan Navy Secures Silver Medal

The Pakistan Naval Academy secured an impressive second place, earning a silver medal in the prestigious International Sailing Competition Brazil—the 79th International Naval Academy Sailing Regatta—held off the scenic coast of Rio de Janeiro. The event took place off the stunning coastline of Rio de Janeiro, a renowned hub for international sailing events, drawing top naval academies from across the globe.

In a thrilling display of skill and strategy, the host nation, Brazil, captured the coveted gold medal, establishing their dominance on home waters. Meanwhile, China and Italy showcased remarkable resilience, tying for third place and both walking away with bronze medals. Portugal, known for its rich sailing history, finished in a respectable fifth place.

India followed closely in sixth place, demonstrating their growing talent in naval competitions. Rounding out the top positions were Peru in seventh, Colombia in eighth, and Argentina in ninth, each performing admirably in this prestigious International Sailing Competition Brazil.

The Pakistan Naval Academy’s sailing team, which included Officer Cadet Muhammad Abdullah Akram, Midshipman Talha Malik, Officer Cadet Saad bin Khalid, Officer Cadet Syed Shakir Ali, and Lieutenant Samiullah, exhibited extraordinary teamwork and dedication throughout the competition. Their silver-medal victory highlights Pakistan’s growing strength and expertise in the international sailing arena.
