The former wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, Jemima Goldsmith decides to block Pakistani emails due to alleged cyber harassment.
In a statement shared on her Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts, Jemima Goldsmith accused opponents of PTI of orchestrating the “cyber harassment operation” against her.
“To friends in Pakistan genuinely trying to reach out—I’ve had to block all emails from Pakistan due to a cyber harassment campaign, undoubtedly initiated by PTI’s desperate opponents,” Jemima Goldsmith wrote on X.
She humorously added that since X is banned in Pakistan “by these desperate opponents,” only those using VPNs would be able to see her post.
“Pakistani politics: the gift that keeps on giving, even 20 years after leaving the country,” the British film producer remarked, referencing years of social media attacks against her due to her past relationship with Imran Khan. While Jemima Goldsmith is often admired by social media users, critics of her ex-husband have targeted her with misogynistic and racist slurs.
During former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s self-imposed exile in London between 2019 and 2023, PML-N supporters held protests outside the Surrey home of Jemima Goldsmith’s mother. Some reports suggested that protesters threatened to break into the property if she did not come outside.
At the time, PML-N supporters claimed the protests were in retaliation for PTI’s frequent demonstrations outside Avenfield House, where Nawaz Sharif was residing.
Jemima Goldsmith lived in Pakistan from 1995 to 2004 during her marriage to Imran Khan. They share two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim.
