PTI Postpones Islamabad Power Show Amid Road Closures & NOC Cancellation

PTI postpones Islamabad power show to 8 September 2024, following the local administration’s decision to revoke the no-objection certificate (NOC) for the event and seal the roads leading to the federal capital.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan announced the new date, stating that the decision came after a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail. “The rally has been rescheduled for September 8, 2024 as per the instructions of Imran Khan,” he confirmed.

PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub echoed this, emphasizing that the change was made on Imran Khan’s directive. “We have credible information suggesting that the government is plotting to incite chaos under the guise of the jalsa,” he added, highlighting concerns over the administration’s actions.

The PTI leadership remains firm in its commitment to holding the rally on the newly set date, despite the challenges posed by the current political climate.
