The swift response was orchestrated by the Pakistani ambassador, who, under the prime minister’s orders, established emergency communication with Iraqi authorities and airline officials. The coordinated effort ensured the matter was resolved efficiently, enabling the safe and timely return of the Pakistani pilgrims.
Moreover, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s concern for the welfare of the Pakistani pilgrims extended beyond their repatriation. He instructed the provision of essential food and facilities to the stranded pilgrims in Iraq, ensuring their well-being during the wait for their return flights.
