In a significant development for school-going children, the government has announced an increase in the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif stipend amount, a vital financial assistance program designed to support families across Pakistan.
Effective from January 2025, this initiative is expected to benefit over six million students nationwide, encouraging families to prioritize education and alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with schooling.
The Benazir Taleemi Wazaif stipends will be distributed to mothers of children enrolled in schools from nursery to grade twelve. To qualify for these stipends, parents must register with the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). The newly adjusted stipend amounts for different educational levels are as follows:

The registration process has been simplified through the BISP Resource Education App, making it easier for families to access these benefits. To ensure eligibility for the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif stipend, parents must verify that their mother’s ID card number is correctly listed on their children’s B-Forms. Furthermore, families who change schools must obtain a new endowment slip to continue receiving these vital educational supports.
The increase in the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif stipend amount not only aims to ease financial pressures but also reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for all children across Pakistan.
