Google Virtual Try on Tool Enhances Shopping Experience with Outfits Fit Check

Google Virtual Try On tool, introducing a wider range of clothing options while refining its AI technology to deliver more precise visualizations of how items will fit different body types. Originally launched last year for men’s and women’s tops, the Virtual Try-On tool employs artificial intelligence to accurately represent garments, including details like shadows, wrinkles, and draping, thereby enriching the online shopping experience.

The latest update now includes dresses, enabling shoppers to visualize how various styles will look on real models of different sizes. As Google explains, “If you’re in United States, you can simply search for dresses on Search and then click any style that shows ‘try on’ badge. From there, you can see what that garment looks like on a diverse set of real models, ranging in sizes from XXS to XXXL. Select a model that resonates with you to better understand how the dress will look. Once you find what you’re looking for, click out to the retailer’s site to make your purchase.”

This advancement marks a significant leap for Google’s virtual shopping capabilities, providing consumers with a more realistic view of how clothing will appear when worn. The goal is to assist shoppers in making more informed decisions online, potentially decreasing return rates due to sizing or fit issues.
