Petrol Prices drop is predicted by experts in Pakistan. There has been a significant decline in prices of petroleum globally. Due to which it is estimated that prices of petrol will also drop in Pakistan as well. The dropped price of petrol per liter is likely more than PKR 8, influenced by recent changes in petroleum prices at the international level.
Expected drop in petrol prices:
According to experts, petrol prices are expected to drop by PKR 8 per liter, while the fall in diesel prices is expected to be PKR 7 per liter. Moreover, kerosene oil prices will be reduced by PKR 7.47 per liter; similarly, prices of light diesel will go down by PKR 7.21 per liter, which could ease inflation pressure.
However, the federal government made an adjustment in the petrol price, dropping it by PKR 1 per liter last month. This little adjustment brought down the petrol prices from PKR 255.63 per liter to PKR 254.63, while diesel prices remained the same at PKR 258.64 per liter. On March 15, 2025, the government kept up the petroleum prices without any change.
