The launch of Punjab Govt eTaxi Scheme 2025, offers an interest free electric vehicle initiative that primarily focuses on boosting employment and encouraging eco friendly transportation for the general public of Punjab province.
1100+ E-taxi’s will be distributed in the first phase of Punjab E taxi scheme. The E-Taxi’s will be distributed on interest free installment plans.
These electric vehicles will be distributed under Chief Minister Punjab Mariyam Nawaz eTaxi program 2025. The main aim of these vehicles is to replace old traditional vehicles with new environmental friendly automobiles.
The transport minister of Punjab Bilal Akbar Khan attended a high level meeting and reviewed the major aspects of this scheme. These aspects include prices of vehicles, models and availability of charging infrastructure. The project is especially formulated to reduce unemployment among the youth of Punjab.
Partnership of the Punjab Govt is established with Dewan Motors to supply local EVs (Electric Vehicles). These EVs includes Honri VC 20 and Honri VC 30. Both models provide range of 200 to 300 KM per charging.
A new plan of installing charging network is under development across the province of Punjab. After every 3 KM a new charging point will be established.
The application process of this scheme will be made simple so that every eligible individual in Punjab could apply for this scheme. There will be more advantage in terms of quota for the disabled, women and also for those who live in village or rural areas. According to Bilal Akbar Khan this project will be started in some weeks and will be announced through official advertisement.
The Chief Minister of Punjab announced this scheme earlier this year in January 2025. This scheme was introduced to provide transportation at lesser price and offer employment oppurtunities. This scheme will also help to promote digital transportation services across urban and rural areas of Punjab. Cities like Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad would be the prime target for this project.

- Enter your personal detail and fill the registration form
- Submit CNIC and Valid Driving License
- Proof of candidate’s residency of Punjab
- Recheck the details and submit the application.
- Wait for the SMS or email of confirmation or next procedure.
E Taxi Scheme Financial BenefitsÂ
- The buyers will select car ranging from 1 Lakh to 45 Lakh.
- A 6.5 Million financing and tax reductions will be provided by the govt.
- Excess cost on the car will be responsibility of the buyer.
- No interest will be taken on the installment services.
- Installment deduction through the digital banking channel.
- An authority will be made to monitor timely payments.

Two vehicle models have been introduced for production, collaborated with Dewan Motors.

Honri VC 20:
This car has a range of 200 KM in one charge and takes 6 to 7 hours to be fully charged. 6 colors options are available for this and the approximate price for this car is 4 Million.
Honri VC 30:
This car offer a range of 300 KM in one charge and takes 6 to 7 hours to be fully charged. The price of this car is approximately 5 million rupees.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicants must be permanent residents of Punjab and the age should be 21 to 55 years. They must have a valid driving license granted by Punjab Transport Authority and a driver with clean history and no serious traffic offenses.
Last Date to Apply
The scheme was launched in the early months of 2025 and all eligible candidates can registered for this portal. The confirmed date for this scheme roll out is still unannounced. For interested individuals, the registration are still open.
