In a fierce quarterfinal bout, Ayesha Mumtaz showcased her exceptional boxing skills and strategic prowess, defeating Vietnam’s Thi Hong Yen Nguyen. Her victory at the Asian Junior Boxing Championship cements her as the second female boxer from Pakistan to win a medal at this prestigious event. Competing in the pinweight (46kg) category, Ayesha Mumtaz’s technical abilities and powerful left hooks led her to this historic win.
