In a landmark ceremony at the Commissioner’s Office in DG Khan, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz officially announced First Ballot Results for the ‘Apni Chat Apna Ghar’ for DG Khan Residents, a flagship housing program designed to improve access to affordable housing in Punjab. The program aims to provide low-cost housing solutions to thousands of families across Punjab.
During the event, a lottery draw was held to select the first beneficiaries, with Abdul Latif being announced as the first recipient. Those who successfully qualify for the program will receive their initial loan installment by 15 September 2024.
Program Features:
- Loan amount: Up to 1.5 million rupees
- Repayment plan: Monthly installments of 14,000 rupees
- Repayment duration: 7 years
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz presided over a meeting at the Commissioner Office in Dera Ghazi Khan, where she was briefed on the law and order situation of the region. To enhance public communication, officers were directed to establish open courts, and a decision was made to introduce English spoken classes in schools.
The Chief Minister also instructed the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner to regularly visit schools and hospitals. During the meeting, members of the Dera Ghazi Khan Assembly paid tribute to the Chief Minister for her efforts in reducing the prices of roti and flour.

Provincial Information Minister Azma Bokhari previously revealed that over 80,000 people have registered for the ‘Apni Chat Apna Ghar’ initiative, highlighting the overwhelming public interest in this groundbreaking housing project. This scheme is set to transform housing accessibility, offering affordable solutions for families across Punjab.
