Pakistan Belarus Relations: Exploring Collaboration in Agriculture and Livestock

Pakistan Belarus relations took a significant step forward as both nations discussed a joint venture to establish a tractor manufacturing plant in Pakistan. This development was the result of a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for National Food Security, Rana Tanveer Hussain, and Belarusian Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Vadim Shagoiko.

The two countries agreed to enhance cooperation in agriculture, focusing on developing a vaccine for foot-and-mouth disease to protect livestock and training agricultural engineers in machinery design. The collaboration is expected to boost the mechanization of Pakistan’s agriculture sector.

Pakistan’s minister presented a comprehensive plan to strengthen ties in the livestock and seed sectors, further advancing Pakistan Belarus relations. He highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to expanding market access for agricultural and livestock products and expressed appreciation for Belarus’ active involvement in fostering bilateral cooperation.

Pakistan also put forward suggestions to ensure that the partnership yields mutual benefits, especially in the agricultural sector. In addition, the minister advocated for the inclusion of Pakistani fruits in the Belarusian market, an important move to broaden trade between the two countries.

Belarus expressed interest in establishing a veterinary medicine plant in Pakistan. Minister, Rana Tanveer Hussain assured the Belarusian delegation that Pakistan is ready to facilitate this investment, signaling further growth in Pakistan Belarus relations.
