Rizwan Saeed Sheikh takes charge as Pakistan ambassador to t US and officially assumed responsibilities for his new assignment. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh’s appointment, announced by the Foreign Office in June, 2024 comes after a long-overdue replacement of the previous envoy, Masood Khan, who had received a three-month extension after his contract expired in March, 2024.

Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has prioritized strengthening Pakistan-US relations, enhancing economic ties, and fostering people-to-people connections. Addressing mission officers, he emphasized the vital role of the Pakistani community in the US, describing them as a valuable asset to the nation. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh highlighted the importance of providing better service delivery to the community and called for a focus on result-oriented diplomacy.

Upon his arrival in Washington, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh was welcomed at the airport by officials from the US State Department and the Pakistani embassy.
