Pakistan Successfully Tests Shaheen-II Ballistic Missile: ISPR

Pakistan successfully tests Shaheen-II ballistic missile, further bolstering the nation’s defense capabilities. The launch was designed to train troops, validate technical parameters, and evaluate the performance of various sub-systems for enhanced accuracy and survivability, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The launch was observed by senior officials from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, and scientists and engineers from strategic organizations. The Director General of the Strategic Plans Division praised the technical expertise and dedication of the scientists involved in this significant achievement.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, and the three service chiefs also congratulated the scientists and engineers on this milestone.

This training launch follows a series of routine missile tests conducted by Pakistan’s security forces. Just last month, the Pakistan Navy showcased its combat readiness by successfully firing FN-6 surface-to-air missiles (SAM) during a live weapon firing exercise in Karachi, where the PN’s GBAD system effectively engaged airborne targets.
