Elon Musk Announced New Video Conference Call Feature On X Social Media Platform

Elon Musk’s X social media platform (formerly known as Twitter) is gearing up to introduce a cutting-edge video conferencing feature, positioning X social media as a strong competitor to popular services like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.

According to TechCrunch, an X social media employee named Chris Park revealed that the company has already conducted its first internal conference using the new tool, and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

This innovative feature will soon be integrated into the X social media app, offering users a Zoom-like experience directly within the platform.

A screenshot shared by the company indicates that X social media has developed a functional version of the video conferencing platform, which will be accessible as a separate function labeled “Conferences” on the right-hand side of the interface.

Once activated, this X social media feature will enable participants to enjoy full video streaming capabilities similar to existing video conferencing tools.

Currently, video calling on X social media is somewhat limited, showing only a small number of participants on the screen at once. However, the new conference call feature may initially limit the display to four participants per screen, with plans to expand this to better compete with Zoom and other leading video chat apps.

Researcher Nima Owji has suggested that the X social media conferencing feature might allow organizers to assign a unique code for each meeting, which participants would need to enter to join.

X social media is likely to further enhance this tool by adding features such as the ability to pin speakers and improved notifications when users join or leave a conference. However, there is no clear release date or deployment plan for this feature yet.

The new video conferencing feature represents another step toward making X social media a versatile platform for both social interaction and business communication.
